This is one of the best, strangest, “artsiest” adult films I’ve ever reviewed. It’s The Erotic Madness Of Eduardo Cemano. But!! If you’re just looking for a hot movie to jack off to, you should move on. I’ve never seen a set of films like these before and really don’t have anything to compare it to. Have you ever seen The 1982 movie “The Forbidden Zone”, with all of its strange scenes? It’s kind of like an X rated version of that. If the movie was made today, it would rival the sexual comedy of popular movies like American Pie. It is really, really strange, but very much worth watching and owning.
These films were all from the early 70’s which was before my time, so I had never heard of Eduardo Cemano or his films before. They must have been ground breaking for the time because they are still quite innovative and push the limits even for today’s standards. For instance, in one of the three films entitled Fongaluli, a professor discovers the Fongaluli leaf that when eaten by animals turns them more like humans. Out of his entire collection of animals, the one that eats the leaves is a lobster! The lobster transforms into a beautiful, and very naked woman.
Though that is strange, it gets better. He later ends up on an island with a giant naked woman who forces him to walk into her giant pussy to please her! If this sounds like something you’ve seen during a bad LSD drug trip, don’t be alarmed, that’s exactly what this movie feels like. One of the strangest drug-like parts from these films involves group sex with humans with large animal heads. These animal heads don’t look realistic but are like the heads off of mascot costumes. The filming and editing makes it look like one big drug trip too, so you’re only seeing moments of each sexual act out of order rather than long camera shots showing a full intercourse session. It’s really very good, quite artistic, and a refreshing change from most movies made today.
As if walking into a 50 foot woman’s pussy isn’t pushing the limits enough, in the movie The Healers, they explore sex as a way to cure people’s problems. This “orgasmic Free Flow” is a revolutionary sexual system of healing that pushes the boundaries yet again for adult films. Though there are plenty of doctor-patient kind of sexual moments, the most notable for me was with a group of four ; two guys and two women. In this “revolutionary sex treatment” the doctor was having them try different things to see how it makes them feel as a type of therapy. It was like a round-robin where each person got to fool around with the other, which includes the girls playing with each other AND the guys playing with each other. Even in the film the actors questioned the doctor “you want me to do what?” but because it was part of the therapy they did it.
Though the films were all very heterosexual in majority, there were bisexual undertones that were present. So if you are completely homophobic and would have a coronary if you saw two guys touching each other, this film is not for you. But if you can just focus on the women in the shot and not be bothered by some guy on guy action, you’ll be more than fine. Most of the film isn’t like that, but wanted to disclaim the few parts that are so you know what to expect.
You get a two DVD set that includes a rather detailed, full-color booklet about the films. It’s entitled The Erotic Madness Of Eduardo Cemano, and that is absolutely the truth. Erotic Madness! The DVDs also feature versions of the films with commentary as an option. They did a great job documenting these films and presenting them to a new group of viewers.
I’m giving this set a solid 5 out of 5 stars for a wonderful collection of crazy erotic film. Again, this is the first erotic art film I’ve come across so it’s nothing like regular porn. The point isn’t to show hardcore sex scenes to get you, the viewer off. It’s to explore some very interesting ideas and themes in an erotic way. I’ll never, ever forget what I saw and I’m glad I took a chance on this one and you should too.
