Eyes of Desire Part 2 is proabably the best couples movie we've reviewed to date. It's being ranked a little lower because most of you out there probably aren't couples. Eyes of Desire isn't softcore. It really isn't hardcore either. There isn't a single comeshot in the whole movie (something you may not miss as much as you think you would). Instead, there's plenty of soft lighting, meaningful glances and kissing. This is what happens when you let a woman make a porno. I don't know the whole story on Candida Royalle, but she's a woman's-point-of-view director for porno movies. This strikes me as simultaneously great and hilarious. Sort of like her name.
At 71 minutes, Eyes of Desire 2 is a bit shorter than most pornos, but it's not really a problem since the extra 20 minutes you normally get is devoted to brainless endless fucking anyway. The sex in this flick is by far the most realistic I've seen in a movie. It doesn't go on until you've got motion sickness and the couples switch positions quickly to keep it interesting. The film work gets a little artsy and blurry at times, but hey, I guareentee that your chick will think it's sexy not to see a fullscreen, well-lit shot of a splayed twat. There's none of that here. All four of the sex screens are a little short on blowjobbering and as mentioned, you'll never see a comeshot. At one point Missy, the blonde lead, moans something to the effect of "Stick it in my ass." So does Mickey G, her partner for the scene, give her what she asks for? It's debatable as the setting is rather dark. So, maybe anal sex or maybe not. The movie's all about that vague sort of naughtiness.
There's plenty o talking. In a lot of ways Eyes of Desire 2 reminds me of all those drama/softcore movies that I avidly watched when I was a freshman in highschool. I can't think of the names. Mickey Rooney...no, that's not right. Mickey Rorke! However you spell that. I don't know, like Basic Instinct but dirtier. Wild..Wild something. Shit, never mind.
This movie also clued me into two fanatasies that I KNOW every woman has now and then. The first is big, well-hung black dudes. All girls want a black dude. A black couple gets it on in a pool in Eyes so both the feverish white chicks and the black couples should have plenty to get off on. The second fantasy women have is other women. Girls like to check out other girls, even more than they like to look at guys. Now that is true. And Eyes satisfies there too with a brief bit of lesbian and group sex exploration at the end.
Not bad for a couples flick. Hardcore gutterporn freaks look elsewhere.
