Audrey Hollander has taken a weird hair-pin career turn, from one of the sleaziest, fuck-anything gutter-whores I’ve ever seen to this ghostly, flame-haired nu-porn queen. Umm, good for her.
In “Catherine”, she plays, I dunno, Catherine the Great or something. Similar outfit. For the first 20 minutes of the film, she gets fucked on the stone steps of what looks like the local library by a Vampire Lestat extra while a big fat guy and a midget look on. It’s like a Rasputina video, only with ass-fucking.
Later on, there’s lost of Ringu-style ghost hijinx and Marilyn Manson-esque goth wankery and, eventually, more fucking, including an over-the-top three-way lezzy strap-on scene and a back-to-basics double-anal, but the sex does not fit seamlessly with the darkwave carrying-on at all, really, and we are ultimately stuck between two worlds here. Ninn wants to dazzle us with dimestore horror-gothery AND gets us poppin’ boners, but I was really just praying for dawn. I appreciate the artistry, I really do, but what the fuck, brother, I need RELEASE here.
But hey, we’re not ALL beasts, right? If you like erotica over artless, ass-up hardcore, than this is definitely up your fruity alley, Alphonse.
